This is how you feed oscars (My specialty unlike most everyone else in this section who only know how to take care of goldfish)
First you feed them a very small amount of pellets or shrimp in the morning.
Then you feed them some shrimp during midday (a medium amount)
then you feed them blood worms at night.
Only feed them 3 times in small portions because it is more natural, and if you over feed they will make a lot of waste and your tank will get cloudy fast. If you need help with ANY cichlid please feel free to msg me and i will give you exact details, this answer of myn sucks because i really dont have time so ima go now bye

"Let's break this up into three categories, small Oscars, medium Oscars and large Oscars. Let's start off with Oscars that are around the size when you buy them, normally between 2 and 3 inches. Babies need to be fed three times a day. You need to feed them until they look like they have had a good meal, ideally when their stomachs/bellies are slightly rounded. Baby Oscars need to eat a lot, they grow very quickly so need plenty of food. Medium-size Oscars from around 4 to 8 inches can be fed once or twice a day. Once again, feed them until their bellies are slightly rounded. Adult Oscars, anywhere from 8 inches upwards shouldn't be fed as much. They don't need as much food because they have either stopped growing, or are growing slowly. You don't necessarily have to feed large adult Oscars every day although most people would want to. In these cases, feed them a few pellets or maybe a little bit of live food. You can however feed them large meal two or three times a week but don't go overboard and do it every day. I shouldn't worry if your large adult Oscar stops eating for a while. People often get worried because they won't eat. They don't need to eat as much, unlike babies who absolutely stuff themselves."

Feeding Oscars 2-3 times a day is OK. Feeding them feeders will NOT harm them in the least. Fish eat fish period. Live brine is good ( tiny shrimp) frozen brine works too. Dry flake well that's OK for the smaller fish. Oscars will eat it. (if they have to) Fresh or frozen is the best. You can also train Oscars
to feed out of you're hand. My ex-sister in law use to hold goldfish with her teeth and the Oscars would jump out of the tank and grab them. Cool to watch...

You are probably right on target. You might go to 5 times, but I really wouldn't. Try adding some variety in their diet with red worms and feeder guppies and the like. That might help keep up with their appetites.

feed them til they don't eat anymore. Fish won't kill themselves, they are not stupid. When people say "don't overfeed your fish!!" that mean they are worried about the built up of uneaten food that will lead to high ammonia levels that will kill you fish. Don't starve your fish they will grow faster if you feed them enough so that they are not hungary yet their is no waste.

As long as small, envious celebrities don't steal them they'll be fine.Don't offer the celebrities any food, even meal worms, or you'll never get rid of them.
