What's up with all these right wing zanies? They just can't open their mouths without all their vile racism, hatreds spewing forth.
And they all expect to get away with a"that's not what I meant".
Isn't it time for this nation to roundly reject all these malodorous throwbacks and get back to reality where people can actually live their lives without being constantly attacked with all this right wing hatred?

Here's the "tar baby" deal. Politicians have used this term repeatedly - Mitt Romney, Tony Snow, John McCain, even John Kerry. The thing is it has more than one meaning. These people have used it to describe a sticky situation. But, every time it is used people take offense because it also is a derogatory racial term meaning a dark child.

It seems to me that if a phrase like this has a double meaning and one of those meanings has a negative racial connotation, people of their intelligence should be wise enough to eliminate it from their vocabulary. It's been made a big deal of every time it has been used from Tony Snow to now John McCain, so they can't use the excuse they didn't know the double meaning. It isn't as if they couldn't use different words to describe a sticky situation. Hell, what's wrong with simply saying "sticky situation?" To me, it just highlights their insensitivity, to say the least.

Tony Snow and Mit Romney used the term also. The dictionary says it is basically a metaphor for "sticky situation." But other sources say that is has been used in the past as a perjorative word for dark-skinned blacks. Apparently McCain wasn't listening to the news when Snow and Romney said it and took heat for it.

Only the liberals would twist McCains OBVIOUS use of the phrase (meant to be "sticky situation") into a racial connotation. Just look at the context in which they are used for Christ's sake. But then again, the libs are masters at taking things out of context as well.

McCain's exact quote was..."For me to stand here and ... say I'm going to declare divorces invalid because of someone who feels they weren't treated fairly in court, we are getting into a tar baby of enormous proportions and I don't know how you get out of that."

Obviously this is not a racial statement of any sort...race was not even close to being an issue of the conversation, but of course, the liberals are going to see this, twist it's meaning to suit their agenda, and attack. The masters of context manipulation.

I had no idea that McCain is a right wing zany.
Always thought of him as a moderate.
I guess you learn something new everyday.
