Well, it's not so much signs. Most of the greatest athletes have a prominent mars, (ruler of Aries) , or aspects thereto, or ascendant or midheaven. But some also depends on the type of sport as well.

mars placement is prominent? Minkus comes up with Gemini? Maybe for a race car driver (that usually crashes!) Sure gemini can do two things at once. MALE libras... hands down
they are into themselves enough to take good care of their bodies.. they are fit and attractive.
female pieces.. unless if into dance because they like to learn so much and try to perfect themselves.

sags... lazy like to write (sitting)
aries.. explosive energy but they fizzle out. more like the type to clean 1-2 rooms well and just organize the rest.
scorpios...unless its sex what 5 min excersize tops.
cancer... gets distracted to easy cant focus
leos...are high strung/hyper ... these come in 2nd place because most of them have that disorder.
caps...like to eat...maby hunt ,some soccer, are hard workers
but thats it.
virgo...no time too many projects and hobbies started at once.
aquari.....i don know any that excersize! i do know a few that are a bit heavy.
taurus...may have alcoholic/dependancy problems from poor self esteem... like things to do with $ instead.

i disagree with most answers, as I have always thought "Gemini" was the most sporty. They are very quick witted and coordinated (can do many things at one time.)

Athletes usually have strong Mars placements in their horoscope, as it rules competition.
