a poser means she a fake. like she pretending to be something she is not. or more along the lines of something she shouldnt be, beacuse of her race or gender. lets say for example, a man would call a woman race car driver a poser, because they only feel that it should be a mans sport. or another one more along the lines of something in my younger person age gap(im 18 years old), when a girl dresses like a punk(gothic, dark hair dark clothes etc.) but acts all smiles & happy & laughs a lot & perhaps is even a cheerleader haha. now that makes her a poser, by the fact her ideas clash with how she presents herself to her peers.. shes all dark & sad looking, but really shes a happy person with lots of smiles in her. i hope this helps you out!

n. A wannabee; not hacker slang, but used among crackers, phreaks and warez d00dz. Not as negative as lamer or leech. Probably derives from a similar usage among punk-rockers and metalheads, putting down those who "talk the talk but don't walk the walk".

well when my friends n i usually say that we're teasing each other. if someone is trying to hard to look gud for a camera or have like a pout going on we say "Your such a poser!"

A poser is often reffered to as a person who acts like he/she is the coolest person in school, even though they aren't. Posers often are the people who everyone knows but doesn't like.

Sure. A poser is a two-faced person. A person who mimics another person and pretends that that is truely who they are.

i know a lot of people who say that just as an offensive term even if there is no backing evidence.
however its pretty straightfoward, it means that a person is 'posing' or acting like something or someone that they really aren't
