An LCD doesn't have any 'bulbs' to replace, Only LCD projectors have these bulbs ?

However if it uses a transformer type power connection then this is the problem, You will need to use a multimeter (get one at Walmart, automotive area for $10) and determine if there is any voltage at the DC connection.
You should be able to locate a replacement.
If the display uses the classical power cable try replacing that...
If these don't work, then you've got a bigger problem that needs technical diagnostics...

There is a tiny flourescent bulb in the LCD assembly, it can be replaced but it's tough since it's very delecate.

However it's not usually the problem. If you can still see something faint on the screen then most likely it's the "inverter". The inverter is a small ciruit board that goes between the LCD assemble and the power connector, It's usually around $50.

all LCD come with a limited 3 year warranty. call the maker of the monitor and tell them what happened. usually you have to pay to ship it to them, but they fix it for free as long as you did not cause the problem, and they will ship it back to you for free.

tell you the truth it is something to do with the light and to help you out dont go out and get a new moniter if its new and you really like it because that would be worthless but there is some options

1. go to a computer store or some were like best buy and let them look at it and help you fix it

2. get a new moniter

3. mess around with it and maybe fix it but more likely if didn't fix it get a new moniter

me personally since i know my computer inside and out and the moniter because i work around electronics i would do 3 but if your not like me then do 1 or 2
