An opinion you disagree with need not be respected if you feel it's not back up by sound arguments.
Everyone has a right to their own opinions, but that does not mean that their opinions must be respected.

You mean soldiers are supposed to only fight for things they want to fight for?
If that is actually your opinion, I think you have answered your own question about why opinions are not respected. People in public forums babbling crap is crap. Not thought out opinions which deserve any respect at all.
One joins the military for many reasons, MOST don't actually expect to fight, but to have a career, do a job, make a living and retire at 40. It is our government which actually determines about the wars, and we vote in the government.
Generation upon generation of mostly men have fought so that you can sit back and enjoy your freedom, and criticize the system.
This is my opinion, please respect it.

The idea of going to war frightens me every time it happens. I personally don't believe in war, I just think that there is a better way. And like you I love my freedom but the things that we go to war for cost us more to fight it out than it does to find another option.
People's opinions aren't respected on most issues, because everybody wants to be right and nobody wants to listen.
It's a cycle that will never be broken.

Fortunately, we have an all-voluntary military, but as to the issue whether or not we should be fighting...Just imagine one of these crazy Taliban criminals building a nuclear missile and doing in an entire city. I think we are in deep trouble when there are terrorists in the world. War in and of itself is and has always been necessary, whether it is evil or not. War maintains peace when it is fought to accomplish objectives rather than to simply continue and continue. We need to do what we have to do and put an end to war, and considering what we the world are capable of, that should have happened already.

Because most aren't based on fact just feelings. Believe it or not in the last 3 years in the U.S more than 155,000 people have died in car accidents Just going to work, coming home from work , going to school, going to the store. In Iraq 3000 soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen have sacrificed their life so that 35,000,000 might have freedom. I would say that is a noble cause and hardley for nothing!!!

Our soldiers have an opinion, and their opinion -concerning the war on radical idiots- is that it is worth fighting. That's why they joined the services. They are fighting for a very good reason. Respect their opinion.

definitely, Shias are muslims. even if the placement is that lately everybody is making an attempt to divide the Islamic united states and make it weak with assistance from transforming into adjustments between their mathaheb. the enormous difference between Shias, Sunnis, Wahabis... is a minor enormous difference that fairly doesn't count number. all of us believe in Allah as God and all of us believe in Muhammed as his messenger. So, people shouldn't flow round putting forward this because it in person-friendly words motives hatred among all muslims it extremely is the major purpose for some people. yet Islam will stay sturdy and muslims will nonetheless be united In Shaa Allah...

Yeah I agree with you completely 100 percent. But if there aren't people out there joining the army then the President would install the draft. Recruitment numbers are at an all time low and its usually poor and uneducated people that join the army at 18 with no where to go. The army gets those kind all the time. Yet they promote the army saying they spend $70,000 towards your education. Yeah Right !!

In the questions of armed service- I perfer to see the answers of those who serve and what they say- as opposed to those who are here and choose to speak for them.
They speak.. you have to choose to listen to them. They are there still fighting for what they believe in. Listen to THEM - not to what you think you hear from the government- but Tom, Gina, Toby, Dallas. Folks I know, that are there and want to be there.
Many people here try to speak for them. But you are not there and can not speak for them. They choose to be there for us and are told not to discuss it
