tuna is fine during pregnancy. as long as it is in moderation there is no harm in it. I ate tuna about once a month throughout all four of my pregnancies and all my babies came out fine. and brand doesn't matter either, i ate all brands, star kist, chicken of the sea, even the store named brands.

Yes, but not in crazy-large amount since tuna can contain small amounts of mecury that could seriously harm baby. You can have up to 14 ounces of tuna a week, which is about as much as two sandwiches, I've found. Good luck!

My midwife told me that I can eat 1 can a week. I read somewhere to avoid albacore tuna. I dont know if it contains more Mercury, but I stay away from it just in case.

Only in moderation and only the high quality stuff. Do NOT eat the chicken of the sea crap. Its just too risky. You should be very careful with all seafood during pregnancy though.

Only if you eat it. If you rub it all over your stomach, it will make your child smell fish and they will always want to work around the ocean.
