First you convert cm to inches. Divide by 2.54, or use the conversion sites that you can find online.
Then you divide the number of inches you get by 12. Do not convert the remainder to a decimal. The answer (quotient) is the number of feet and the remainder is the number of inches.
For example, 300 cm is 118.110 inches.
I guess I better explain how to do this with the calculator, as the next step, dividing by 12 and retaining the remainder as a whole number, may be impossible to people who don't know how to divide without a calculator....
Ok, divide 118.110 by 12 and get 9.8425 That means 9 ft and some inches.
Subtract 9 from this to get the remainder by itself, .8425
Multiply this by 12 and get 10.11 That means 10.11 inches
So 300 cm is 9 ft 10.11 inches

There are 2.54 centimeters in an inch and 12 inches in a foot. Simply divide the number of centimeters by 2.54 to find the equivalent number of inches. Then divide those inches by 12 to find the number of feet. Any digits to the right of the decimal point are portions of a whole foot. Multiply that value (use the decimal too) to find the number of inches are present in addition to the whole number of feet.
For example 65 cm equals 25.590 inches, which is the same as 2.132 feet. 0.132 feet equals 1.58 inches. So, 65cm is almost 2 feet, 1.58 inches, or about 2 feet, 1 inch and 5/8 of an inch.

you can divide the number of cm by 30.48 to get the number of feet. The integer part is the # of feet. multiply the fractional part by 12 to get the number of inches.
ex: 200 cm to ft & in
