It depends on the type(s) of products you are seeking but you want to either buy from manufacturers or distributors. Check with your local library for directories and just start calling, emailing or faxing for catalogs and credit applications and the terms and conditions of working with them. Build up your sources and realize that it's not all about price. Make sure the sources you choose have quality products, acceptable payment and return policies, reliable delivery options, volume pricing, etc. Why not work part time in a craft store to get some exposure to the industry ... watch out for non compete clauses??? Why not interview craft store owners on the other side of town for insight???
