Remember the kids TV shows H.R. Puffenstuff and The Banana Splits from the early 70's?? Just how stoned were the guys that created this stuff? Puffenstuff? I didn't get the joke until years later.

Yeah, I remember them. I really loved the Banana Buggy! And that theme song was the bomb! Puffenstuff was pretty cool. I think those were some of the first shows I ever saw with live characters dressed in costumes that way. The witch was so believable! Those were the days. How about the Monkeys and the Beatles cartoons? And Dick Clark on American Bandstand! Sure wish I could go back and do it all again! Thanks for the memories!

I remember The Banana Splits but I'm only 33. Didn't the show start with all the characters sliding down a huge slide on burlap sacks?

I remember, the Banana Splits had those cool six-wheeled Argos, I wanted one. I don't know about the writers, but I liked watching it stoned.

I used to love watching those shows. I never knew until just now that was what the show was about. I was a very innocent kid. I wasn't exposed to that until I was much older.
