I found paper in my food, but I didn't want to be rude so I kept on eating.

Well I wasn't at her house, she was at mine and she made something the way she always makes it for her family......she was just so insistent that she do this for myself and my kids.......so she did.....and we sat down to eat....and I took a bite....and about gagged! It tasted as awful as it smelled but I spared her feelings and told her how good it was......so yeah, I've done the same thing...

Yes I have. I am a pretty picky eater so it happens quite often to me :( I of course eat it so I am not rude but every bite just gets harder for me to eat. I try not to waste it especially if everyone else has already gotten seconds and I am trying to get down the last bites.

Didn't find paper, but just didn't like how the food tasted and all the pepper and salt couldn't fix it.

But that was in my picky finicky days and nothing really suited me that wasn't perfect.

I just picked around and excused myself by saying I had an upset stomach and had to limit my intake.

For a respect sake you may ate a little. Then say some accpetable reason like you already have taken a dinner just before you went to their house.

To be polite you have to eat some of it at least. If you get the chance covertly spit it into your napkin. But don't be rude and say you don't like it. The other person has probably put time, money and effort into making it.

Finding paper in your food is something you should tell. Keeping it in is wrong and from your prospective I see why you didn't tell them but you could had at least been kind enough to tell them that there is paper my food. Maybe they added it to see how you will react and maybe it was accidental. Nothing can hurt that person.

Thanks a big yes!

I was served freezing cold Beetroot Soup. Yuck!!!
I think it was the look on my face when they served it, that the host said know body has to eat if they don't like beetroot's. Well that took care of the whole table, know one had the soup.

Please don't take offense if you happen to like cold Beetroot Soup, it's just not my thing.

Yes I ate the nasty food because I was confident it would not kill me or cause vomiting.

But I barfed it up later and went to Taco Bell so the night wasn't a total disaster.

SUPERMODEL!!

Yes and I ate just a little slowly to make it look like I ate. Unless it would be fish or seafood. I'm allergic to it

Once I declined dinner at this girls house and her mother cried so I ate it anyway. Her house was nasty I didn't think it was hygienic. That's worse than paper, trust me.
