the slip disc is causing severe pain at my left thigh and lower leg.

i actually have the exact same diagnosis as u. i was referred to many physicans and had numerous procedures. i think that the best treatment is physical therapy. this has worked wonders for me...good luck

Let me state for starters that I am not a doctor nor a nurse, however, it sounds like the protrusion could be putting pressure on your S1 (siatica nerve root.). You may need to have your doctor do an EMG to test this nerve out.

It seems like once you get a back problem you always have one.

Sorry to say but for me it was surgury to relive the protrusion.
