Why do I think you no what it is already you just like to get women worked up. STD has nothing to do with the mucous plug.It's men like you that spread STD . Now you are picking on pregnant women and that is down right low.

Richard- I guess you haven't got any children? Why do you want to know? learn to spell mucous also spelled mucus and then do a search on it. I'll give you a hint... it has nothing to do with an STD- ( std stands for sexually transmitted disease!)

A mucous plug is somthing that forms in the uterus and helps keep the cervix closed when a woman is pregnant.

lol...that's what plugs up a womans cervix to make sure the baby doesn't fall out when she's pregnant. Ok...that's not completely accurate...but basically. Your mucus plug falls out before your water breaks.
