Myspace used to be pretty cool, but now it sucks. Its just flooded with propaganda. There is a site called Friendster you might want to try, but I'm not sure how much better it is either.

It's your choice. Myspace is a kind of world. A world you discover people that maybe are near you.
Discover music, video, people etc...

Use facebook. It's much more organized and easier to find your friends, if they use it as well of course. I find MySpace pretty crappy -- the layout and everything -- as popular as it is.
