i cant remember anything about this movie except a clip. two college boys are friends and they climb a tree and they are both trying to jump off a limb of the tree (i think while doing a back flip) but one of the boys hurts himself and i think breaks his neck. anybody know what im talking about?

There seem to have been 3 movie versions of "A Separate Peace", 2 for TV, and one for theaters. The theater version was in 1972, so that's probably the one you remember.

it sounds like a walk to remember but it wasnt a tree.. and they weren't friends so that probably wasn't it.
