For instance, relationships starting out from the Internet. Is it a more effective way to fall in love as one tends to or has more chances to understand the other person? Well there are fake guys and girls everywhere. Real world doesn't necessarily guarantee one from being prevented from meeting a fake person. If you are gullible, you're gonna be trapped whether it's online or not.

The thing about internet relationships is that eventually you have to meet anyway and spend lots of time together because there's only so much you can learn over the computer.

For that reason I think it's ok to make the contacts via PC (i.e. find someone with common interests) but you should meet them before it drags on too long so you can get a total picture. Words and pictures can only explain so much.

It is possible to fall in love with the person without necessarily meeting physically.Words are as powerful as actions. I can´t judge individuals falling in love via internet as gullible since love is not a "thing" to make fun of.Feelings are real. Real or imagined...love should be based on true feelings thus must be felt by real persons.

That really depends on the individual situation. I think the reason it's usually frowned on is because it's so easy to be fake online. You can hide behind a keyboard and lie about what you look like, where you're from....anything really. Plus you don't have to show your face while telling lies, so you don't even have to have a good poker face!

With that said there are plenty of honest people out there too...but how do you know if you've found one?

I wouldnt say its more "effective" at all really. I believe that you can fall in love with someone online, I suppose..but logically..if you really think about it, what you are falling in love with is the persons personality. One thing that someone here on yahoo answers said about the online love phenomenon is that..."when people correspond via internet for so long, they expose everything to each other and once they finally meet they have nothing to discover and not too much sexual tension which you often times need to have passion. Therefore, things are somewhat bland or fizzle out really quickly"..something to that effect and I totally agreed with it.

Awesome point! If you can have love before sex, then at least you have a good foundation to build on. Sex should only be performed in marriage.
