I agree with basically everyone here...you don't force yourself to become one, you just kind of evolve into one. But, if you really must know:
Go to Hot Topic. Clean 'em out of all their band tees and repulsively gothic clothes, start smoking/doing drugs/drinking heavily, learn how to play guitar (BADLY), but above all, don't have any interesting musical taste!!! If someone asks you what your definition of extreme metal is, say Slipknot or Korn!
Just be as bland and obvious as every other headbanging teenage moron out there, and you'll do fine.

You dont just become one,, well maybe you do. But you cant decide one day "Oh Im going to become a punk!" thats not the way it works.
Be yourself. Dont try to be some thing your not otherwise your not going to get labelled a 'punk' your going to get labelled a 'poser'.
