The bottoms that have a skirt attatched are always a good choice. Look for a top that has wire built in and lots of support or something that ties around the neck and will pull your breast up. Also a wrap would fully cover your thighs and you can wear them in the water if you are not swimming. Good luck! Check out Victorias Secret they have some really nice clearance items on their website. They are not expensive as everyone thinks and the tops have good support.

I just bought a bathing suit today and I have large thighs. Also I'm very petite so I have a double problem. I must have tried on at least 25 suits. The one I looked the best in is a tankini with an adjustable bottom with a black and white floral print top with 3 tiers of ruffles. I modeled it for my husband and he said it looked real good on me. All I have to say that bathing suit shopping is very traumatic for me.

RE:
What's the best bathing suit that flatters someone with large thighs?
I'm short and your typical pear shape/hour glass figure, I'm average in the bust, waist is narrow, hips, thighs, and arms large. I've looked at several tankini's and skirtinis but still can not find one that is gives me a lift for my sagging breasts and a good cut on the skirt to...

I would avoid the kind with shorts or a skirt because they draw attention and make hips and thighs look bigger. Darker bottoms will make you appear thinner. If you feel you need a one piece, look for one with embellishment on the top part, like ruffles or something because it will draw the eye up. Go try on a bunch and find one that you feel good in. You don't have to be a super model to look good and feel good in a swimsuit. Target has a lot of cute ones right now and lots are on sale. Get a sheer sarong to tie around your waist if you feel uncomfortable still. Use a shear one though because it won't add bulk to your frame. A fabric tied around you waist would just make you look bigger, but shear fabric will just help you feel more shielded :) The main thing is to just embrace yourself. The girl on Grey's Anatomy said she was totally uncomfortable with her body, then Grey's put her in a bra and underwear on TV! She had to embrace herself and how she's considered a sex symbol. It doesn't' matter what size you are, if you are confident, others will see that and that is way sexier than being thin. I know lots of single, skinny girls that guys can't stand because of their attitudes and insecurities. Be confident and happy with yourself!!

Haha I think this is funny. Seeing as how I have almost the same problem you are except that I have a really small chest...and the fact that my name is Dani too! Hehe. But yes, the skirted bottoms are prolly best. And a wrap would look really cute too. As for the top, a halter with underwire is probably best. Good luck finding the perfect suit!

I agree with Brenda's answer. I would look for a suit with padded cups and a skirt or wrap. And Alyssa, wow, you're just rude and shallow. What a hurtful thing to say to someone. Good luck, Dani. :)

Skirtinines just add volume to your hips and thighs. Try a normal one-piece with higher cut in the legs- boy cuts and skirtinies are very unflattering, since they add bulge. The higher cut will create an illusion of longer legs and slimmer thighs.
Since you're only 29, I find it hard to believe that you have sagging breasts, but if you still don't feel confident, a halter top will take care of that.
I would encourage you to buy a tankini with high cut around the legs, control panel around the tummy, and a v-neck or halter top to hold your breasts, and still show some skin off.
My friend go this suit- your body type sounds a lot like hers, and she looked very good:
