At our household, a similar incident occurred, and he damage was irreversible, since it was a laptop. The only fix would have been to replace the top cover with the keypad and underlying components. However, if it's a desktop's keyboard, it's not too bad or expensive to replace it... The liquid will find it's way into every free space on the keyboard and then dry to a sticky resin that will never go away.

Gently pry the buttons off and put them in a collander and run it through the dishwasher. Then put them back on. However some keyboards will not allow this so try keys that you don't use much as a test.
If it doesn't work, you will have to buy a new keyboard.

Well, this has never happened to me,but my guess would be to take a damp wash cloth/paper towel and wipe down the keyboard, and then dry it right away.

unscrew your keyboard.remove all the circuit layer(concist of a few clear plastic layers).clean it all up.dry them completely then screw em all back.it should perfectly after that.if the keyboard circuit is not completely dried the it could short circuit if u plug i back in.when that happens it would all be useless and u would need to get a new keyboard.
