woman goes to africa or south america. she's gone for a long time and her husband/boyfriend gets worried and goes to find her. when he finally does find the remote village where she has been, she is dead, but there is a baby girl there for him.

Was it "Dragonfly" with Kevin Costner? His wife died in an accident and she would appear to him as a dragonfly and give him clues as to why she needed him to go to South America. I really liked this movie.

thats right- Dragonfly with kevin Costner but he already knows she died and she sends messages thru the little boy that was her patient and he figures out where he supposed to go, yes it is south america (venezuela)
