Given Carter's age and his involvement with Habitat for Humanity, I don't think he'd run again. Personally, I think he was given a bum rap - he had to make some tough decisions in a tough time in America's history (ie energy crisis & the hostage crisis of 79-80) but he did have a vision that no one quite got while he was in office. He's also been able to use the clout of "Former President" to affect change than the confines of office could do. A Hillary/Barack ticket in any form would be a great combination though - both would have firsts, and shake up the "old boys' club" the Presidency has become.

I voted for Jimmy twice and I still say, in retrospect, that he was not an effective President. Noboby wins with Hillary on the ticket. So I guess, not much.
How about this similar one for the other side:
President: George HW Bush, Vice President: Nancy Reagan, Sec't of State: John McCain.
Both are equally humourous.

Since hillary is running for prez, there is NO way she wants to be second fiddle again (she already did that gig for 8 years for Slick Willie) and Mr. Obama is too smart to take the Sec. of State job. That is a lot like holding a warm bucket of spit, to paraphrase Mark Twain.
Jimmy Carter wasn't too hot the first time around and since he is getting 24/7 protection for life on our dime, he doesn't need another go at the top job.

particularly than Edwards it may fly. Edwards is a tender-weight , won't be able to carry adequate votes to help him. yet Clinton does have the credential for Sec. a minimum of she is universal with the gamers in spite of if she replaced into "basically" First lady. So replaced into Elenore Roosevelt.

Carter has lost his marbles, Hillary would never take second fiddle again, and Obama wants the big chair.
I think this group together would be a train wreck.

I love Jimmy Carter, but I think he is too old to be president again. I love the idea if you bump them all up a position.. Hillary Clinton President, Barack Obama Vice President.
