Texas is like a blackhole, sucks everything into it, and out comes another Bush. Education system here sucks, the air, well you can actually see it. lol. If it wasnt for the money i'd try to leave.

oh my God Someone Thought i am a Liberal lol! and i'm not racist. Just a little pissed that i have to learn spanish to do business in america. I've been to over 60 countries in the world, and i would have never dared to treat anyone as bad as mexicans do if you don't speak their language. They act insulted if you ask them to speak english. Why should i have to press 1 to hear instructions in english.

oh my God did she say the mexicans are going to take back their land? what would you do with it? I've been to mexico, their a reason they risk their lives to come here. Not too much in mexico to be proud of.

I am a native Texan. I love Texas. I really hate it when people move here and then just gripe. Honestly I think its rude. Its like going to someone's house and telling them how ugly it is. I think no matter where you go you can find good and bad. The biggest part of the problems that you are talking about is from everyone moving here from other states. Oh by the way the Bushes are not native texans. And i wish they would stop saying they are Texans. It gives Texas a bad name.

I thought you were a fellow liberal, but it turns out you are just a racist (Mexican comment ... do you call all Asians, Chinese or Chinamen as well?). And if you hate Texas for the Spanish reason, you must really hate places like Quebec...
Or are you just white trash with expressions like, "THIS IS ENGLAND SPEAK ENGLISH ... I mean America Speak American", or "This is America love it or leave it", and finally "I aint big on no learnification of no foriegners languages"
Also the highways are great most other states are undeveloped in that capacity (IE Louisiana AKA the "those hogs look pretty hot" state).

B/c they are having to speak a foriegn language on their own turf. Texas did belong to us Mexicans, you know. But don't worry, we'll be taking back our land soon, and the the rest of the US while we're at it.
And no, the only bad thing about Texas is the heat, oh yeah, and Houston. You're in the worst city in Texas, buddy. Try Corpus Christi.

Texas, like most places, has its good and its bad points. I have found the Texans that I have encountered to be generous to a fault -- unless they are driving on the road. The land is mostly boring, the climate sucks, but if you can stand all this, there are some good jobs to be had there.

.well im from texas n i got a lil bit of texas pride but i thought the same to be honest. i grew up in dallas. it was kinda quiet and alot of farms. not much to do n it was so humid it wasn possible to enjoy the summer weather unless u were constantly bein sprayed wit water or in water. theres sum hillbilly parts [prolly were bush comes into the pic]. The people are nice though and well mannered. but between the rather emptiness [4 such a bigass state!!!] n the late 90s weather... i jus cant stand it!!! even as a tejana [texan] i totally agree wit u!!!!

Oh my goodness, I think Texas is the bomb! I have a cousin who lives in Austin who tells me all the great stuff about Texas. (BTW, he hates Bush, too.) I visited Dallas a few years ago, and I loved it. Texans have a great deal of pride, and rightfully so. Just b/c Bush was your gov. years ago, doesn't mean anything - change the system! You should try to go to Austin or a larger city - maybe you want to go to California or Arizona or Alaska or anywhere else. Are you young & single? - then you can do it! Just save up, move, get a job somewhere else. Live your life! Good luck to ya, hun!

no it really sucks. i live in dallas texas...not as bad as the other places but if i had to pick somewhere in texas i'd pick austin just cus theres more to do. you're right on the bush thing and the education system...and you're forgetting the rednecks
