this male friend of mine doesnt feel the need to stay in touch often ,all my other friends,male and female stay in touch regularly.i told him this bothers me but he continues to do it so now im feeling disrespected by him.i,ve come to the conclusion that i gotta cut him loose,its never a good feeling to cut off a friend but hes left me no choice.any thoughts?

well, talk to him one more time and see what he has got to say.then take your decision according to that.but when you talk this time be more serious.and see if this helps.

I had a great friendship with my roommate of 8 years. I got married, my roommate started his own business but we always seem to get in touch with each other. Not as often but our friendship was too strong to have other things in our life interrupt. Things change, you know what I mean? Don't let your friendship fall apart.

Ask him why he doesn't stay in touch. Maybe he's just busy or he just isn't keeping in touch cuz it's not that important to him. But don't judge him until you know for sure. I myself have that problem, and I want to be friends with them, I don't mean to ignore them, I'm just closser to other people.

y dont u make the commitment to stay intouch. e-mail, Im, Phone call, u know conversation is a 2 way street, and so is contact. if people drift appart then it's both people's fault.

Well, he may have other priorities to deal with in his life. I don't think it is right to cut someone off because they don't keep in contact often.

So...you seem to have a lot of other friends. Don't call him for a while and see if he calls you.
