you can most definatly get a job ! anyone who says you cant is lying if your of legal age for when you are go for it! i have been working since i was 12! i started at a race track from there went on to an A&W, a dive shop a boston pizza and even a blockbuster video! and im only 18! but you have to remember having a job is a responsibility you cant just pick it up and leave it when ever you want... other people will be depending you you! but go for it! if you do good in the interview and they are in need of workers then go for it! just dont be heart broken if they dont need you or say no... theres always next time!

i don't quite know the odds of a 14 year old getting a job but if you get a work permit from the dmv or whereever you get them at, i bet you can get a job at subway, and i worked at a subway before and they are a great place to work at. If this don't answer your question then i am sorry. But anyways hope everything works out well for ya.

Go for it. But a lot of places are not comfortable hiring young people. I think it makes insurance costs go up. And the labor laws must be strictly enforced and many companies are not willing to deal with that. My son was 15 and Wendy's hired him. But there were about 6 or 8 refusals by other companies before he got hired.

You need to find out the child labor laws in your area. Contact city hall and ask them.
My son had to get a work permit- with approval from his school and was able to work at the corner pet store when he was 14 and didn't need a car to get there.
I am sur all states are different- so just call and ask.
Good luck! Glad to see your looking to make some coinage!

I started working at the Theatre part-time it is a great way at 14 and I don't see any problem. Builds a great resume if you do well.

legally i dont think subway can hire anyone under sixteen.. sorry. But you can always work at chick-fil-a if there is one near you. They will hire you if you are fourteen and a half or older.
