Just what are our priorities? The media would have us appear to be a country divided over everything ...not just Iraq.

It is strange to talk with friends, relatives, and acquaintances about their hopes and desires (priorities) and then never see these thoughts reflected or addressed by ANY of our politicians. Friends, relatives, acquaintances from ALL walks of life in this country. They seem to be mostly together, but none of us see ours views reflected in what candidates or current politicians are saying.

My point: I personally think the vast majority of Americans know exactly what they want and have some good ideas about how to achieve their goals and aspirations. The problem is with our leadership and what is discouraging is that none of us see anyone on the horizon that would recognize the priorities and actually have the political and moral courage to address them if they did.

Well, no further attacks on American soil. Several terrorist operations stopped before execution. Al qaeda netweork severly disrupted. Safety of Americans? I would say that is right at the top of the current priority list -misplaced? Whats more important than that?

World reputation be damned.

Right now, America is a polarized nation. People are to busy finding ways to tear each other down, rather than finding the time to work together for the betterment of our society. If everyone continues to focus on trivial things (ie..Clinton sex scandal, Rush using drugs), we will not have time to tackle anything important. Both sides of the aisle need to let go of the petty partisanship, and strive to make our country better.

there are a lot of american men & women that have their priorities in order... mayhaps the 71% that disapprove of the current administration?

America has developed a terrible image on the world stage, but it is NOT the american person.. it is the administration doing whatever it thinks it should regardless of what the people in the country think!
