And what God expect from men is actually not love, but loyalty. Partly for this purpose, God created the marriage institution: to give men/women ample opportunities to exercise loyalty to each other.
Loyalty is the most valued expression of love, isn't it?

Because your listening to the wrong people! Your hearing may be good, it's just the people talking are not giving you good advice. Tell you what. List all the places that you have searched for the ideal man. Make a complete list! Next go out and ask these people who gave you this ridiculous advice where they would search for the ideal man. I bet the two list will be almost identical! Next go to those people who have been married for 30-40 years, ask them where to find the ideal man. I bet the two lists are completely different! It's time to get out of your comfort zone! Follow the wisdom!
