I'm 20 weeks pregnant...I have been trying to eat healthy up until this point. I was wondering, is "probiotic" yogurt safe? It has "live" bacteria in it that is supposed to eat away at all the negative bacteria....does this harm the baby? Does she ingest it? The yogurt I have purchsed has this in it...and I am scared to eat it. Please let me know if anyone has ever wondered or knows about this! Thanks!

All yogurt has live bacteria in it. That's what makes it yogurt. The bacteria in the yogurt though are the good bacteria ... the stuff your body needs to fight bad bacteria and keep you healthy. You should be able to eat it with no problem, but run it past your doctor or his nurse first just in case there is some other reason they don't want you to eat it.
