I have 3 gb's of DDR 3200 ram in my desktop running dual channel.I am wondering if it would be better to force the core windows system to memory instead of pagefile. Is there any risks. What should I set the pagefile at.And should I force dll's of memory as well.Thanx

If you have 3GB of ram then you could safely disable the pagefile to improve performance.

However, if your system does ever require more than 3GB of ram then windows tells you that you are running out of virtual memory anyway. If so turn it back on and leave it system managed.

With 3GB of RAM, I can't imagine you even touching page file, so you can disable. However, if your computer should ever feel the need to use it, Windows usually automatically turns it on and adjusts it to what it needs, so don't worry about turning it back on again once you turn it off.
