2.Britain lost their dominant power over world during two world wars

3.India got knowledge of modern technology and politics from their foe, Briain...it was just a matter of time that India kick Britain out of their land. Think about it...4000 years of history and 800,000,000 of population...Compare to India, Briatin was a teenager gangster who incently got powerful and rampaged everywhere

Ghandi and others showed them the desire for self-determination was strong & growing. The sheer cost of trying to remain in power was far beyond England's resources post WWII. It was inevitable.

Because they began to feel bad about exploitative empire and moved to a more altruistic empire, which was well on the way to beggaring them anyway when WWI and WWII came along. Ran out of money, couldn't keep the damn thing going any more.

Because of the beautfys of India, Britain conquered it, and the econamy went down. thanks to services, the econamy is recovering. there used to be many diamonds found in India

there's only so long you can colonize a people before they start to get tired of it and do something about it, and before you (ie. Britain) are spread too thin or too busy with something else to do anything about it.
