Time will tell.
I think he's just as genuine in his position on this subject as he was about holding people in his administration accountable for leaking the name of a CIA operative.....still no one has been held accountable!

Lip service and no action!

Well obviously he was sorely mistaken, but I think he was acting in what he felt was the best course at the time with the information he had. I don't think he is truly evil & acted with blatant disregard for logic and our country's best interest. He couldn't possibly be. Or I hope not, anyway. I do think he is a poor businessman, a poor leader, and he has very bad judgement, and he's been the worst president we've seen in a couple of decades.

The mistakes made were allowing this to reach him for comment. It should have been handled (spun) By the Justice Department. He's not happy that it's now something he has to answer for. He's not happy the Emails got leaked. Frankly if I were him I wouldn't be happy about it either.
Nobody likes to get caught looking bad.

He was C.H.O.A., I think we will have a new Attorney General by the end of next week. Big time mistake, big time. But it just uncovered the underlying corruption that is the Bush administration

Edit: Covering His Own Azz as usual.

'Mistakes were made' is not exactly the same as saying "I made mistakes". It kind of sounds like he's not taking full responsibility. (made by whom?) Isn't it interesting that Gonzales, his attorney General, used the same language?

He was CYA'in. Isn't it funny that no pugs have answered this question? They just don't handle reality (that their 'god' in DC is a lying sack of puke and a criminal) very well.

Only President Bush knows for sure and he will have to live with what he does. Always remember that, one does have to live with what one does.

yay the good ol' passive voice, don't have to say who it was made the mistakes!

I think he's not happy the whole mess came to light. Else he would be his usual "what-me-worry"

This one time he is not lying. He is not happy that his mistakes are showing and attributable to him.
