I'm curious - how well has it worked for any one who has taken it? If it worked, how long did it take to conceive? Did anyone experience any side effects that they don't mention? What are the chances of having twins?

People keep telling me that I'm going to have twins. My husband and I wouldn't mind. We want two children. With the problems that I have it would be, we would be thrilled.

I am currently taking Wellbutrin so hopefully with any luck if I experience any mood swings, they won't be so bad (especially for my husband's sake........).

My husband and I are both in our early 30's (he's 32 and I'm 31). Do the chances of have multiple births increase while taking Clomid?

My cousin took two times and had two single births...She was told the chances do go up for twins. And the office she went to someone even had triplets...
She had some bloating not to bad. They told her to watch for sever bloating incase she would hyper-stim which is bad...
She also had really bad mood swings. Hot flashes. Yeah come to think of it she was just plain mean lol..
But it couldn't have that bad she did it again.
Check out ivfconnections.com they have alot of info on their site.
I'm thinking I seen some where. That as a woman age's chances for twins go up any way. And thats without clomid...
Wishing you much luck :)

I took Clomid and got pregnant the first month. Unfortunately, I miscarried, but I don't think that had anything to do w/the Clomid. I had absolutely no side effects whatsover. It was easy and convenient to take. I stayed on Clomid for 5 more cycles and then did two cycles of injectables (no big deal, and again no side effects). Got pregnant on the second cycle and have 7 year old twins (b&g). Couldn't be happier! Would be happy to answer any questions you have..

I got pregnant the second month on clomid, but it ended in a miscarriage. I went back on clomid four months after the miscarriage and got pregnant the second month , again. This time it was twins, but I lost one at nine weeks. The other twin is now 13 months old and perfectly healthy. It's about time to start trying for baby number 2 and I'll probably have to go on clomid again.I had no side effects from clomid.GOOD LUCK!!!

after trying for 6 months......i started clomid, i only took half the dose though, and got pregnant the first time! there is hope! i go in 2 weeks to find out if there is multiples but i doubt it. there is always a chance, but i know my sister took clomid as well and she has just 1 beautiful baby.
and the side effects that i had was a slight headache that wouldnt budge and crazy heat flashes! they were the worst but way worth it! good luck and keep positive.

Clomid is REALLY POTENT and works on both- men and women. My girlfriend got pregnant almost immediately after her periods. And from the size of her belly..compared to her body...I suspect it's twins. Check with your doctor because I've heard that Clomid or Clomiphene, combined with other medicines, can deliver ( no pun intended) some really strange results.

This is my first month of clomid, I am on day 3 of taking them (CD5-9) I haven't had any problems yet. No hot flashes or anything. No bloating.
I feel no different. But every woman is different.
Do your research before your start it. I will be doing ovulation tests and using a fertility monitor while on this cycle. Not to mention I do BBT!!! I really really want another baby!

The worst area effect I quite have had on Clomid have been the warm flashes. the 1st month I had a headache many of the time i replaced into taking it and replaced right into somewhat moody. 2d month infrequently any area outcomes. i'm on my 0.33 now and had a headache the 2d day and the warm flashes have been notably undesirable. as some distance because of the fact the twins is going, it in basic terms will strengthen your opportunities to 10%. i assume it must be larger in case you have kinfolk history.

chances of twins is increased but not by a great margine
you will experience mood swings (sounds mild, but its not)
you may intentionally start fights. even if your one of the sweetest, kindest, most gentle people. i'v seen it, lived it, had pt's attest to it...
but it dose increase your chances.
the shots are more expensive (different drug too) & there are two of therm takeen at preset intervals that don't have the same mood swings & increase your chances of conceiveing, but also increases your chance for twins too.
Good luck

How's this. I was given Clomid to help conceive and I'm a man. It worked too, had to get a vasectomy eventually.
Clomid is associated with multiple births.
