I think a name should be meaningful to you and your mom. Almost any name can have a nickname to it. It will shape later after a personality can be seen. I have a friend named Elizabeth and a cousin also named Elizabeth. My cousin is very mater of fact about things and formal and we simply call her Elizabeth. My friend on the other hand is very bubbly and outgoing and she perfers Liz. My sister also has a friend named Elizabeth and she doesn't like it at all. She only goes by Beth. So it realy boils down to what type of personality the baby has and that wont be known untill later. The name and personality don't necassarily have to go hand in hand. An example of that in high school in our circle of friends we had three Dave's. One was tall and thin the other was average and the thrid was very tall and slightly over wieght and his personality was vary huggy and loveable. No one liked David. So we called one Twiggy and the other Teddy short for teddy bear and the average one was sometimes refered to as cowboy dave because he drove a big truck and wore a cowboy hat and listened to counrtry music. All of them it was based on personality and came from a need to define the three David's. Otherwise you said Dave and got a responce of three. What confusion , a nickname can come to you early on my daughter by six months was allready called Vanna- Bannana. Her name is Savanna. I dressed her in a lot of yellow outfits including a bananna costume for holloween The Vanna came form her cousins that can only say Vanna they cant say the Sa yet I am sure it will change and evovle as she grows up. So don't fret too much a name and a nickname weather be from her name or personality or need it will be there. Also my nephew can't say Grandma and so he said emma now all the kids call Grandma Emma. So please don't fret a nick name will reveal it self when the time is right. You will just know.

You can give any nick name to the name you choose. I have a friend called Alberta, her nick name is Mike. Go figure. Usually the nick name follows the type of personality you have and can probably change as you get older.

I have two boys myself, Andrew and Nicholas. My family likes calling my youngest, "Nick", but nobody shortens Andrew's name to "Andy". Go figure.

Anyway, had I gotten a daughter instead of a son, I would have opted to name her (with the option of nicknames being wide open) "Christine or Christina". Besides, I have several folks in my family with that name already, so what's another one? Ha ha!

my daughters name is Maecy Elaine, yet a friend of ours has always called her Abbigail, who knows. Just find a name that rings in your ears, and the nick name will follow.
Our friend Kierstie had real thin hair when she was 3 and so when she would wear pig-tails, she got her nick name, Twiggy.
You guys will figure it out. Good luck.

nicely, apparently your call's Mia so i'm unlikely to comprise that even nevertheless I do rather like it. i actually like Elizabeth, Gabriella & Jacquelyn. I hate Aimee, Amy, Britney, Brooke, Hayley, Hailee, Hayley, Jamie. The others are okay. yet i might bypass with the two Elizabeth, Gabriella or Jacquelyn. Elizabeth is only so eye-catching and stylish-sounding. And there are maximum of nicknames. she will bypass via Elle, Ellie, Ella, Eliza, Liz, Liza, Lizzie, Beth, Betty, Effie. My known nicknames are Effie & Elle. Gabriella is proper, and lower back, there are extremely some nicknames she might desire to decide from: Gab, Gabs, Gabby, Gabri, Gabrielle, Bri, Brielle, Rielle, Ri, Ria, Elle, Ella, Ellie. Jacquelyn is gorgeous and flows so nicely. inspite of the incontrovertible fact that, I do like it spelt Jacqueline. i'm no longer too keen on the nickname Jackie/Jacqui, yet once you probably did use it, i think of Jacqui is plenty nicer. yet i admire the call Jac as a nickname. even nevertheless you could bypass with Jac, Jack, Jackie, Jacqui, Qui (reported like Key), Lyn. Elizabeth Jacquelyn Jacquelyn Elizabeth Gabriella Nicole

My niece's name is Kate but we call her Kator Gator. I knew a little girl named Teejay (don't ask) and we called her Teeterbugs. Nicknames come and go--chances are your friend Mc.Cookie will stop going by that name and pick up a different one. The personality will dictate the name...

You could call her Bianca and call her B. It doesnt really matter what u call her, she will always get a nickname, no matter the length of her name. When I was having my baby if it had been a little girl we were going to call her Isabel and say Izzy wizzy lets get busy. We had a boy though.
