go into your display properties and click on the settings tab, than the advance button and change your settings there. if you get the chance up grade to a better OS, even Bill Gates admitted to screwing up when he released ME.

if you have checked both power options and hibernate mode and all is ok then you may have to check your computers bios options. do that by hitting the delete button a few times as your computer is booting up . there is more power options in there you just have to find exactly where. it is different on every mother board so i can not tell you witch tab it will be under. hope this helps

Start-Control Panel- Power Options- Disable hibernation
