Hi.
Well, its hard to say what they will be worth in the future.
Unfortunately, since beanies were so popular and so many people were collecting them, there is a large supply. As a rule, if there is a high supply, the price will most likely be low. However, maybe further in the future when people are tired of holding on to them and feel they are no longer valuable and there are fewer of them around, maybe they will be worth more.
My gut feeling is that the company that was indicating the future value was only using it as a marketing tactic to create the frenzy and increase sales at the time. But, I could be wrong. Just my opinion.
My suggestion, hold on to them. You never know. I don't think they are very valuable at this time. The value is only as high as someone is willing to pay...so, you never know.
Good luck.

I think some will be worth a lot of money..Some of the beanie baby's they only made so many of..so in 20 years, they will be worth a lot if in good condition..

omg! i have a book that says that too :) i think that the're some people who still collect them; there has to be right? the beanie babies might not cost as much as it says, but some people might still buy it not for the price it says in the book but it could still be expensive since they dont make more then one of every beanie baby; some might still be valueble :)

Beanie Babies are not worth much now, or will they ever. Ty made us believe that buying those toys we would be millionaires, we're not. I would hold onto them, but sorry I don't think they are worth that much.

Maybe it will be worth lots in the future, if they're kept in mint condition.....i mean, they have cereal boxes worth hundreds because they're out of print today.....so why not Beanie babies?

People asked the same questions about Cabbage Patch Babies and GI Joes years ago. Nothing makes sense these days. Wish I kept my moo cow.

I doubt it, but if they suddenly become popular again, I've got ours ready to go. Babies, teanies, buddies, and books. I still can't believe I feel for that craze.

The craze has not kept up and they are not increasing in value.....They're pretty much worth the 5-8 dollars they charge for them.
