I would wear some nice docker type pants and a nice polo type shirt. Nothing to dressy but appear clean and presentable. NO JEANS. This will make you still be professional. You know like the guys you see at Circuit City or Best Buy. Were some nice shoes, loafers, etc. NO tennis shoes. Just use your best judgement. Most of those places you will not need to dress in slacks and tie unless you are going for a management position. Best of luck to you. Remember first impressions last, even if you don't interview at application time, people take notes of how you appear when you come in. Trust ME!!

As my grandma would say "church clothes" if you wouldn't be ashamed to sit in church.. they are the right clothes to wear.

You don't have to wear a suit.. but always approach filling out an application like they may ask you to go in for an interview. The last thing you want on your mind is..... wow, I really should have worn something else.

Like you are expecting an interview, but not too dressy. Nice button down shirt or blouse, ironed (but not starched) slacks polished shoes. And since there would be food involved, make sure your hair is VERY neat and your nails VERY clean.

When i'm going to fill out an app i usualy throw on a polo that covers up the tattoos and some decent looking jeans and shoes. also do your hair. imagine your trying to look good enough to pick up a girl at least.

Look how other employees that are working in the position you want are dressing. By dressing like one of them your interviewer can picture you better as an employee. By not over-dressing your employer won't be afraid that you'll be high maintenance by expecting more money than they are willing to pay.

Definitely not a suit and tie! No jeans either! Nice pressed dress pants or even khakis and a clean ironed shirt and you will look great! Clean your shoes and SMILE! ( You are hired) Good luck!
