Well; I have my boot device setup listed as booting from the cd/dvd drive; but after displaying the 'msi' boot screen; now when I have my Windows XP Pro SP2 disc in the drive and I try to boot from it; it says this: 'Error Booting from CD/DVD Device...Press Any Key to Reboot'....

..Well; after 'pressing any key' ; it just restarts and keeps bringing me to that screen.

Do I have a faulty drive or what do you guys think?

The boot sequence is irrelevant if your getting a n error message relating to boot error from the CD/DVD drive!

Your question is vague and leaves many issues unknown...
Is this a new OS install, If so, sometimes, with an older machine, the CD/DVD driver could be an issue.
If the drive just stopped working it could be a dirty laser lens, which you can pull the drive, open the case, and clean the lens with qtip/alcohol.
Also the EIDE cable could be installed wrong.
Does the drive power/system check during boot, where the LED flashes?

Hi. Check your BIOS settings. You can control the boot sequence in most BIOS setups. Make it look for the DVD drive (or CD-ROM) first.
