Every once in a while I'll hear about a job installing a satellite dishes, putting tags on gloves, or cleaning pieces of metal. The pay ranges from $10 to $15 an hour.

What other jobs out there do you know of that pay well, do not demand schooling, and are just unknown to the general public?

When I was in school I would get odd jobs off the career job board. I did stuff like hold up art submissions for a judging panel for about $75 for 4 hours of work. Sometimes www.craigslist.org has some weekend or short time jobs that pay well in the "etc" section. I worked at a country club as a brain-dead server and got $12 an hour plus some random tips. The weddings were the best--the drunks at a wedding always tip well. So, catering, party serving, those kind of jobs can pay a lot better than you might think.

Oh, and in Florida, diving for golf balls is a big business. People fish them out of the water traps on the golf courses and resell them.

I don't know if you are at school or not, but if not try to find a mine site. Here in Australia you can get around $100,000 a year just to be a dishwasher. You have to live on site, but all your food and accommodation is paid for, you work 3 weeks solid and then get a week off. They may have similar things wherever you are.

Servicing windows in peoples homes (for Milgard, Pella, Atrium, etc.). No degree, just clean cut, physically strong and clean driving record. Knowing how to use tools helps.
