hey im gonna go 2 a saltwater tank or stay with freshwater and i want to know what kind of fish are the neatest and funest to watch and enjoys does any1 have any ideas???

if your talking about which type to keep stay with the freshwater fish they are easier to take care of and ciclids are fun to watch and arent that hard to keep same goes with gourami and with saltwater fish you have to wait a month sometimes more before you can add your fish and saltwater fish tend to die a lot unless you read up on them before you buy them and 90% of the time you dont get your money back on them. the best to watch in fresh water fish would be cichlids in my oppinion because they chase each other but you need fake plants or other places for them to hide and they live a long time if kept up with and you can sometimes put angelfish in with them to make them look a little better but id stay with the fresh tank unless you want to spend a lot of money on fish that will end up hideing or dieing most of the time

this really depends on many things including the size of your tank, your budget, and your experience. Goldfish are a popular choice. They are easily taken care of and are active. there are many types. The most well known are the fan-tailed, and the original goldfish. the fan-tailed goldfish look as if they have two tails and are usually smaller than the common goldfish. They require more attention. Fancy guppies are also a popular choice. They require more attention because of their salt water needs which are surprisingly easily met. They are live breeders, so if you pair a male and a female, you are most likely gonna have babies. If you are looking to breed, guppies are probably your best bet. You can easily tell the males from the females also. the males are more colorful and have longer tails. These are just a couple of choices for you to consider.

Salt water are the more colorful but the tank is harder to maintain. As far as fresh water try an Oscar. You can train them to take food out of you're fingers and also pet them. They are very inelegant fish. But they do get quite big. And ugly in a beautiful way. OK I'll say Unique

listen before you read any other responses to your question DO NOT i repeat DO NOT BUY GOLDFISH. If you buy goldfish you will lose your manliness. They are not fish They are food. What you want to do is buy a fish that says I got Big kohones and so does my owner, Got it? Go buy a Red Devil and a Flower Horn and feed them goldfish to show the people in this section of yahoo answers that goldfish suck. If you do this i will allow you to join the WE HATE GOLDFISH club for a month for free.
