a state of mind

2007-03-17 04:22:49 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

Happiness is a state of mind, an emotion. As such it is fleeting. It comes and goes. In my experience happiness has always come with success. I mean, when I have accomplished something, especially something difficult and useful.
I think it is also for some people a kind of background in their emotional make up. I'm a carpenter so don't take this too seriously but I think I've known people who default to a happy state. It seems to me that theirs is the best kind of happiness. It's not excitement or some irrepressible joy but maybe a sort of contentment.
Certainly though, happiness is a mental state of pleasure. Maybe it is any kind of pleasurable mental state.

this is a word invented by someone living in a dream. we seem to live our lives looking for happiness. we always think we will be happy when we have money, own our home, have a new job. but that isn't the case because when we have money we want more, when we own our own home we want a bigger more expensive one, when we have a new job we want an even better job. so to answer your question i don't think we are ever happy we just get to have a little taste from time to time of what it is like if we were happy.

Happiness is the sound of cheerios in the bowl on a sumer morning. It's getting all static-y and having your hair stand up. It's washing your hands after a hard days work. And most of all it's wearing socks to bed. Oh yeah, and love.

Happiness is a feeling that we have when we are not judging anything. As soon as we start judging we find something not to be happy about.

Happiness is a state of mind, its a point when you feel like everything is perfect, you forget all things wrong in life and live for that signal moment of perfect joy, that point of extreme perfection, it can be as simple as laughing at a joke, but for that split second everything is perfect.

happiness is a secondary emotion..something has to take place in order for you to experience it. contentment is most desireable and often over looked.it's peace of mind. peace of spirit, self- fulfilled... its's being okay with everything good or bad because you have the confidence that it will be so... and the strength to make it so.
