Waste of time? It's the absolute lowest form of (for lack of a better word) entertainment! You are not alone, they are disgusting, distasteful and should be, well, dissed.

No. I love them and watch them all... Survivor, Apprentice, American Idol, Fear Factor, Real World/Road Rules Duel, Big Brother, whatever else is on.
I also read fiction books and I know what is real and what isn't. I just find reality TV very amusing.
Oh yeah- and I really like The Amazing Race. I would even try out for that one, if I didn't work full time and take care of an ill husband.

Agreed. BUT I do believe that reality tv is on the decline as a lot of networks are recently (as in the past year or two) are whipping their writing staffs back into shape and are producing a lot of noteworthy shows that are correcting this horrendous trend. Case in point: 'Lost' and '24', and 'Prison Break'. All great shows--unfortunately I'm too lost or too far out of the loop to get into them. 'Heroes' on the other hand has me hooked. I jumped in on it not quite at the start, but at a decent point. I also like that show because NBC.com liberally offers the episodes online so it's easy to catch up while the show is still in its first season.
Creativity and fan-base/interaction of that caliber will definitely prevail over the now staling gimmick of reality tv in the long run.
I never thought I would go back to watching tv after reality tv took it over. Shows like 'Heroes' has literally saved my hope in television.

They are a total waste of time. They clutter up the networks with this mindless garbage while quality programs like 30 Rock and Studio 60 either struggle in the ratings or get canceled...
...I don't blame the networks as much as the morons who sit and watch that crap and give them the ratings. Boycott them all...turn off your televisions...do not buy the sponsor's product.

I hate them! The only ones I can watch are the ones with Talent.
I like the good "old fashioned" mystery, soap operas, or a good movie.
Programs like "Survivor" to me, are so boring. They are like "real life".
Just sit around in your "living room" and state your "opinion".
That is not good entertainment.
