If you put mascara or eye liner at the roots of your eyelashes, will they be more likely to fall off?

no. mascara doesn't have chemicals that cause your lashes to fall out or anything.. unless you tug at them too much when you remove the old mascara. buy a gentle eye makeup remover. try maybelline, they have a good one.

Hmmm....I guess this is a good question since I do that as my makeup routine I have noticed tho that my eyelashes have been falling off but its probably because I pull my eyelashes or do a clean sweep with my fingers in case I feel clumping. I guess this can be related to the use of mascara on the roots....its easier for it to build up there. I suggest regularly usng a makeup remover and a really good mascara that doesnt clump. Also dont pull on your eyelashes....overall good luck using this makeup technique works if your subtle but the results are really good....it gives you the illusion of thicker longer lashes.

Mascara is just basically a paint that goes on your eyelashes. It may add a little weight, but it probably won't cause any significant damage. If you're really worried, when you take your mascara out of the tube, wipe it in a tissue and then apply. That way you get the same look with less mascara and less weight. The one thing I would worry about would be the eyelast curler because it is possible to pull all your lashes out with it. Beware...

No way! if u use the right kind of mascara then the only thing that will happen by putting it at the root will be they will more likely become stronger as long as u wash it off and dont try and pull it off of your lashes.and i highly doubt that wearing eyeliner on the base of ur eyelid will do anything either.

Mascara can make your eyelashes brittle, but nourishing mascara helps with that. And avoid wearing makeup if you know you you wont be going out or if you know you wont see anybody you need to impress.

NO it wont i put on liner and mascara everyday, my lashes are still there and they have not fallen off. so dont worry they about ur lashes fallen off. BUT you should maybe google ur question to get more assertive answere :-)

your eyelashes come out just like your hair does so dont worry the dead falls out and the new comes in i guess you call it recycle its true, as long as you keep your make-up fresh and replace it as it says to , i think its 3 months and dont share you should be okay

ive been wondering this too.... it seems logical that they might fall out faster because you are dehydrating the root... so i guess it would just be better for them to put mascara just on the tips
