I went to the health food store and got a prenatal supplement made by Nature's Plus. I never had problems from it.

Some doctors say that certain B Vitamins help reduce the sickness associated with prenatals. Mine mentioned this to me then prescribed a prenatal called Premesis Rx - it worked wonders for me! I also had serious morning sickness on top of just the blah of the vitamins and the Premesis even helped out the morning sickness as well. I sure hope you find something that works for you, I know how miserable it is to feel sick during pregnancy. Good Luck Sweetie

have you mentioned this to your doctor? they could give you a prescription prenatal, some times there are even liquid ones which help with if you get nausea when taking pills (i couldln't keep ANY pills down during my pregnancy due to having that great morning sickness 24-7 for the WHOLE pregnancy). i can understand about how you want to make sure your baby is getting all the nutrients it needs, which is great!! so at your next appointment bring it up and see if there are any suggestions that he has. mine also is take the pill with milk. usually will coat your stomach and organs to help keep it down. take with food, never take them on an empty stomach, that will increase the odds of it coming back up as well.
good luck and congrats!!!

I have been taking a once daily vitamin from Trader Joes. It is gentle on the stomach, and I have had no adverse reactions at all. It's not a prenatal, but it is better than not taking a vitamin at all. I don't know if your area has a Trader Joes, so you may want to investigate a drug store that has a woman's vitamin that is easy on your stomach.

maybe see if your prenatal has iron in it.. you may not need the extra iron..
i didnt.. i threw up whenever i took mine.. then switched to one with no iron.
or you can go the other route, stop taking them altogether and eat veggies and fruits like crazy while making sure you eat everything else good for you :) lol not many people would suggest that, but my sister couldnt take prenatal pills at all.. made her throw up every time.

My doctor told me that I could take one flintstones vitamin a day if I couldn't hold down my prenatal vitamins. So ask them about this at your next visit or call tomorrow to see what they say!

I agree with the suggestions of Flintstones chewables. If you speak to your doctor you should get confirmation that this would work just as well and will be much more mild on your stomach.

I never even took mine in the morning just in case I just took them at night before bed. They are all the same to me. Try to eat something with them or drink some milk to coat your stomach.
