Well, I always like jazz. It can be soothing, relaxing, escape to a different place. Try listening to Sade, Diana Krall, Dave Koz, Boney James or Harry Connick, Jr.
Unfortunately, I am not aware of where you can download any of these for free. However, you should sign up for LaunchCast (www.launchcast.com) by Yahoo (you use your same login as for Answers). It's free and you can choose the artists, songs and albums you like and rate them. The higher you rate them, the more often they are played and they even play similar artists/songs.

This site has lots of playlists for just about any topic -- breakups, fighting, sex -- do some quick searches and I'm sure you'll find some good ones. Then you can download off limewire or other similar site.
