look on the back and see why it is rated teen, then decide if she is mature enough to see that in the game.

I don't see why not - really. I think the worst thing is the "Whoo-hoo-ing." As long as your daughter understands that people have sex to have babies (and usually do it in a bed) - and that they do it for fun too (sometimes "whoo-hoo" *sex* is an aspiration that they have), I don't see much of an issue.
There really isn't anything wrong with The Sims 2 - I'd feel comfortably getting it for my 11 year old half-brother. It's very family friendly, and offers a lot of outlets for creation, especially when it comes to designing the houses. I love the Sims 2!
p.s. Teenagers can't have babies - which, depending on life lessons you want taught, is a good or bad thing. :o)

If she's a year below the recommended age, what difference does it really make? I have yet to see anything really wrong with SIms 2, although I don't personally like the game. Just don't buy her the expansion packs with the heart-shaped hot tub and things. XD

My 10 year old plays Sims 2...my 14 year old got her into it. I have watched her play and what she likes the most about the game is building different houses and creating families. I don't think she really realizes what its all about...she just has fun with all the different decor, furnishings and making the families. I don't think its a bad thing...just help her with it and watch her play it for awhile...I think she will be like my daughter and just have fun making fancy big house and creating people...Good luck.

Yes, I think that would be fine. I got the Sims when I was 10 already. There's nothing really bad on it. You should just watch her while she plays it for a little while.

i think of it would be a suitable sport for her. I even have the finished sequence, and characteristic performed it for some years. My youthful sisters might of been approximately 11 whilst i all started enjoying, and that i taugtht them - they enjoyed it. There rather isnt somewhat some sexual content cloth in it - sims do "woohoo" yet its merely a sprint bit fireworks - this might in all possibility be your merely problem i think it is rather the way you sense relating to the undertaking
