Hi,
I'm not sure if I have the right answers ... however try not to panic ... I am sure everything will be fine.. but I would start eating if you can!!! You will probably start feeling much better.. and the coughing is probably hurting because of the way the baby is positioned - she or he could be snuggled up to your rib cage! I have a 10 month old and I was pregnant for my first time so I understand completly what your going through... I started to worry about everything going wrong around 35 weeks and I ended up being overdue to top it off! Try and stop worrying - stress (in my opinion) is the hardest thing on a baby -- and on you! Good luck and your in my prayers!

1. Of course having diarrhea is not okay. You must talk your doctor about it. However, if you don't eat solid food for several days, then that's not diarrhea actually....
2. you must ask advices from the doctor handling you about the discharges or anything that you feel while you're pregnant. Now, about the size of your baby inside you actually depends on the food you eat. If you're fun of eating food with more sugar/calories then there's a possibility that you're baby will grow bigger as you grow much as well.
Ask your doctor on what food should you eat.
3. Never forget this. Your baby will be affected of what ever you feel, whether sadness, happiness, hurt or whatever. That's why you must be careful. If you feel something strange, call your doctor immediately and do what ever he advised you.
4. There's two possibility here. (1) maybe you have problems inside your stomach... maybe a disease or something. (2) maybe your baby reacted when you tried to full your stomach with food. However, asking the doctor the examine you is the best thing that you should do....
Note: Always call your doctor if you feel something strange to avoid any problem with you and your baby.

im 38 weeks and am soudning like you . i started the diahrea and my dr told me its part of ur body gettin ready for labor. I also am small, prepregnancy was 105 lbs and am now 145, and have gaines absolutely no weight besides in my belly, so they had the same concerns. He told me though that as long as the heartbeat is normal, which they listen to evey dr appt, that there is nothing to worry about, were just blessed with big babies lol. for the 3rd question when i cough it hurts mine, i dont have a cold but its just eveything is so tight and congested already, your baby will be fine he/she is protected. #4 i eat all the time but it does the same thing to me, once again it fills u up so much more and tightens everythign so much more that it hurts and i start to get braxton hicks, i think that you are fine, but its ok to worry im a first time mom too and worried about the same things... if you need anythign else let me know christensen_alexandria@yahoo.com

You are going into early labor, congrats! The diarrhea (loose bowels) is your body cleaning itself out for labor. You are dilating and having cramps and contractions. Way to go! Head to the hospital when the contractions are 5 minutes apart (from the start time of one to the start time of the next). Early labor can take awhile, so calm down, snuggle with hubby, finish the baby's room, unless you've lost your mucus plug take a bath and get some sleep.

Hey im also 37 weeks and 5 days and a frist time mom. as far as your questions go. My doctor told me that diarrhea was a sign that labor is comming soon. i had that problem and I asked about it tuesday at my ob oppoiment. (not to freak you out or anything). and as far as you cant eat much, im the same way. and thats only been happening for the past couple of days. so im not sure,
But getting the cold wont hurt your baby. and try not to stress out so much about stuff. but not having a sonigram is normal, but if you have any questions i would talk to her about them. just so that it will ease your mind and not havin you stress out.. you dont need that..

maybe this link will help you with question #1. As for the rest, it's normal to not have an ultrasound for a long period of time.
When you go to the hospital to have the baby they will more then likely do one then.
Having a cold will not affect your baby. and as for your stomach hurting when you eat, it could be because of your on coming cold. the contractions you may be feeling might be braxton hicks they are not real contractions yet.

Okay so remember i am not a dr, but i have had 3 babies.
1. i think diarrhea is normal, everything is loosening up
2. i'm not sure
3. could be acid reflux, indigestion
4. again indigestion, your stomach is getting squished by the baby taking up all the room.
i hope this helps, but if you're a little freaked out maybe you should see your doctor.

sounds almost like you have the flu..
maybe in general you should go seek out another opinion from another dr.
Tell him/her all these things and your concerns.. or even go to the local health unit and speak with one of the nurses there.. they are a wealth of information. The lack of eating kind of worries me most of all.. you need to be able to eat but if its hurting you definately seek out professional help.
