How do I disable my firewall so I can view a friends webcam?

I have windows xp with my windows firewall plus other security and I have no problems using cam or viewing cams....you must have a router and its setting or something perhaps?

What type of firewall?

Disable Windows Firewall by going into Control Panel and Windows Firewall and turn it off (your must be an administrator, though).

It is very simple.
Go to controlpanel,there you can find an icon of bricked wall called 'Windows Firewall'.
Click in&select'Off(not recommended),click 'Ok'.
