Why were there only 4 episodes of Judge John Deed this season???

What's going on with this seasons (2007) Judge John Deed? Normally there are at least 6 episodes over 6 weeks. This year there were only 4 episodes over 2 weeks and no continuity. What happened about Jo's wedding? Its terrible. I feel really cheated. Anyone any ideas??

No idea - but it's one of the best shows on TV.
