If you're not well lubricated it can be uncomfortable.
It shouldn't feel painful or uncomfortable all of the time. If it does then you could have a problem such as cyst on your overies or a tilted uterus. During the time just before or after your period it could just be that your hyper sensitive from hormonal changes.
If you feel a lot of discomfort inside of you, talk to your doctor so they can better diagnose the issue for you.

Yes sometimes right before or after my period my ovaries are sensitive and sometimes intercourse hurts.
If it continues other than these times than see your doctor.You could have a yeast, or urinary tract infection.

depends...sometimes that's could be a sign of endometriosis...as always check w/your gyno to be on the safe side

can some one tell me what is an abcess?
