The real question is the number of hours of sleep they get over 24 hours. Can't remember. Certainly more than 12 hours, maybe 14?

My daughter is 10 and a half months.. she goes to bed around 7:30. I still wake her up at 10 pm for a bottle but that is only because I don't want to risk waking up at 3 am ... I plan to try it soon though because I am sure she would probably sleep through the night still. Right now she sleeps until 8:30 or 9 am... I think every baby is different though... and I don't think an exact bedtime is necessary however my little girl gets real cranky if she has a lack of sleep! Hope this helps :)

Every child is different, but my son is 11 months and goes to bed by 9pm and wakes up 8 to 8:30 and has a 2 hour nap in the middle of the day. It's usually from 1-3 or 2-4. But for some reason today he slept until 10 am, only slept for about 30 mins during the day, and went to bed at 8:15.

All three of my kids have been on the 7 to 7 schedule starting around that age. Now they're 13 months, 3 years, and 6 years and the 7 to 7 schedule is great! It's a good break in the evening and gives time for my husband and me to ourselves. Plus kids NEED that much sleep anyways. Your 10 month old could sleep from 7 to 7 plus one long or two shorter naps during the day.

I think that depends on your schedule. You should put the baby to bed one or two hours before you normally go to bed, so you can have some time to yourself. If you don't have anywhere to go in the morning then just let the baby wake when he wants to. There should be some type of a regular schedule. But don't put the baby to bed at 7 pm if you don't want to wake up really early. If you do have to get up at like 6 am for work or whatever then it might be wise to put the baby to bed at an early hour.

You might find that the child at this age gets a better night's sleep if you put him to bed between 6 and 7 p.m. Typically they need at least 12 hours of sleep at night, so this would have him awake between 6-7 a.m. SOmetimes to put your baby to bed later might not encourage the full 12 hours because they tend to be on a biological clock by this age which can have them awake with the sunrise and less than 12 hours of sleep. You really need to experiment. If when he wakes up in th emorning and is cranky immediatley or within an hour (assuming he's fed and diaper changed) then he might still be tired, so try putting him to bed earlier and see if this fixes your cranky child into a happy one! Good Luck!

I have a 10 mo. old girl. She goes to sleep around 8 P.M. and wakes up around 7 A.M. The doctors said that babies know how long they're supposed to sleep, buy you should try to get into a rhythm. We do bath at 7:30, then it's beddie bye.

He should go to sleep around 8 and sleep for 12 hours but he'll probably wake up at 6 and want to eat.
