I have used a known good Monitor and Battery with the same results. I don't belive it's the power suppy, because everything is powered like it should be.

Ok, first of all, I have on board video.

I tried removing each piece one a time to see if I would get any reaction. The only thing that made a difference was removing BOTH of the RAM sticks, leaving no RAM, whcih caused the computer to beep, but obviosly no bios. I tried using different RAM, but no luck.....it soudnds ike a bad motherboard to me, but I don't know.

You are most likely using on board video that has gone bad.

This sounds like a hardware problem. Did anything happen before the computer stopped working? Did it overheat which could have caused either the motherboard or processor to burn out? It could be a loose or defective memory chip. Make sure your chip(s) are well seated in the slots. If you have 2 chips, alternate removing 1, then the other and try booting to see if 1 chip is bad. Remove any unneeded hardware such as a secondary hard drive, modem, tv card etc... Make sure all cables and cards are secure. Blow out dust from case. Good luck. Gary

I agree with the intial idea of the CMOS battery or the PSU being faulty, but hopefully it is something a little more simple.

Are you sure your monitor works?
Are there any sounds made when booted?
Try reseating your graphics card.

Hope this helps.

If the bios doesnt't show up it could be your video card or cpu has gone south. If you have on-board video you can add a video card to one of your pci slots to see if that changes things.
